Fredrik holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology. He is a European patent attorney and an authorized Swedish patent attorney.
Fredrik has been working with patents since 1996, first as an examiner at the Swedish Intellectual Property Office (PRV), then as a patent consultant at a patent firm (Albihns). He subsequently worked as an in-house patent attorney at an automotive technology company (Scania). Before joining Bjerkén Hynell in 2026, he worked as an in-house patent attorney and head of patent units in Sweden and the UK within the information and communication technology sector (Ericsson).
Fredrik is an experienced lecturer and tutor in the field of patents and has been involved in some of the largest patent disputes in the world. He also has extensive experience in drafting and managing patent applications in information and communication technology, particularly in cybersecurity, wireless networks, IoT, and AI. Fredrik also has experience in IPR due diligence, such as in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
